Under the name Zahari & Alati (Sugar & Salt), we set up our business on March 15, 2005, a classic but quality fast food restaurant.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

We are renovating Zahari & Alati with a fully equipped kitchen and new restaurant area and changing our menu to vegetarian. Introduced the plasto pie and the baked in the oven falafel. We are extending our opening hours in the evening.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our belief is that vegan food can be both delicious and healthy. So, we dropped ready-made and processed products from our menu. We introduce the first vegan dishes. Because at that time, people where not at all familiar with the term \u201cvegan\u201d, we used to explain that our food is like being on fasting diet. We introduce the mung beans burgers. Until the end of 2014, all our main dishes were vegan.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

We decide to go vegan. Many of our customers complained about plant-based milk in their coffee, but we proceed. Inspired by the Mediterranean cuisine, we introduce new dishes such as moussaka, pasticcio, soutzoukakia, omelette, etc.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

2019<\/div>

We are completely renovating kitchen and the restaurant area by occupying the adjacent space next to the existing one. We are changing our name to Veganaki. We set up our own bakery for pita breads and buns. Nothing processed or with preservatives in our menu. We decide that Veganaki should be open every day, all day, from morning to night.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

During the Covid years and the lockdowns that followed, Veganaki never closed. On the contrary, we designed our new menu by removing gluten from all our dishes. In 2021 our menu was exclusively gluten-free. At the same time, at Veganaki we offer a selection of fine gluten-free certified beers from all over the world.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>
